IT'S A GOOD THING: GOURDO'S 12" PARTY TUB
I am no longer a corporate slave..at least for now. I know, i know, being a bum has its perks and hmm downside as well. Perks? I get to watch TV all day, look like a slob all day, and sleep for God knows how long. The downside? CLEAN MY OWN ROOM. And so i am still at the process of making my room squeaky clean, and fa-shion too..Martha style..kinda. I'm keeping the green-brown scheme(got no choice, but love those earthy tones mind ya). Aside from Food attention deficit disorder hehe, i also have selective OC disorder..meaning i just want my space clean, forget the rest of the house! I like organizing things, knick knacks. And these party tubs sure rescued me! in the shade of green that i LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Gourdo's. My mom adores the place. It's like Toys R us for grown ups..errr the ones who know how to cook at least..or for those who don't how to cook but make up for good housekeeping and nice table setting ( i am the latter ). You get a lot of great deals in this place. GOOD FIND: 12" PARTY TUB for P75...for 2.. how good is that? i just love finding good deals! Have a good one kids!

when the dog bites, when the bee stings

We all have our favorite things:) well, in my case i have this thing that you may call as 'seasonal favorite things'.. maybe it runs in the family hmmm have to ask MI parents. explaining further.. i guess i overdo or overindulge that my favorite things become THING OF THE MOMENT.. ahh that's more like it.
There's this funny episode, i guess four summers ago, my kuya and i were super craving for green mango shake, and since the fruit was in season, the fools (us) made sure mother dear always had those fresh green mangoes in the basket. i mean almost everyday we'd pulse those poor things in the blender, toss some ice and sugar and voila, our favorite thing, made us grin, pure bliss. UNTIL..
We had a serious case of diarrhea. we even had fever for days. And that was the end of our green mango shake affair. oh well, there's war all over the world..maybe one day, i'd still try a shake or two, but heck, not now. not even for a million dollars, hmmm lemme see.
From vienna sausage, to sapin sapin and servings of melon shake..and back.i've had moments with them, and then one day they're not my favorite anymore.. sure i still eat those, but not with as much gusto as before. i have food attention deficit disorder:) currently though THESE ARE MY FAVORITE THINGS:
APPLE TART (amira's or rowena's)
i'm not a fan of apple desserts, but this one won me over.. i want it served piping hot hot hot, so you can really savor the apple bits and the tartiness of the crust. plus the whole room smells like apples!
BETTER THAN ICE CREAM
I'm caught up between Triple Chocolate and Kahlua Brownie :)
..they say it's frozen yogurt..so it better be good on your waistline ++ it tastes pretty good! before we just have scoops..NOW we can down a 2L in one seating. Please no green mango shake incident PART 2 for me.
ROOTBEAR FLOAT/ MCDONALD'S COLA FLOAT
this favorite thing is a keeper. i am a rootbeer junkie..rootbeer float that is. there's just something about float, you know those A&W days. its comfort drink to me.
CHOWKING BEEF WANTON NOODLES, DUMPLINGS, NAI CHA
whether the sun is up or its drizzling all over town..nothing beats a hot bowl of noodles..spicy or not! i usually ask for an extra serving of chili sauce, perfect with fried dumplings..those golden, crispy brown babies.YUM. finish it off with a sip, or two, or three of their Nai Cha( milk tea) just ask them to serve the ice crushed to fully savor the milk tea.
NY FRIES..large please!
the bad thing about me? when i watch cooking shows all day..that means it's gotta be craving the next! the other day i wanted squid balls with hot sauce!! and bicho bicho brothers!! one thing that's a staple on my list though is fries, any fries. or in this case the NY FRIES! choices of dips, large cuts, i love potatoes, any kind for that. dipped in ranch dressing or or plain garlic, its comfort food, period.
Man, and that's just food, better rate my other faves (of the moment hehe)

GREENPEACE!!
Good morning upper east siders!! hehe
Been a while. Let's just say i had brain-freeze last month..guess make it my entire life.
This just in: indarapatra's bumming around. yep. just got out of that thing..you know slavery haha.
Watched dvds. seen The diving bell and the butterfly and Into the wild..pretty good films right there. tv. all day. barefoot, everyday italian and some throwdown. home economics 101. flipping, just flipping to the pages of Preview and good housekeeping( talk about domestic goddess in heels man) and of course a back issue of Vogue. pretty good deal for P65 hehe, Charlize Theron on the cover, she's just the coolest.
And there it was..green.WOW, big word. Everyone's buzzing about it, every ish of magazine i've read is all about going green. disclaimer..yes they admitted that they're one of the culprits, making us buy that lipstick..in every shade..and so on. (geewhiz is this me talking) uh-oh it's the whiskey talking hehe.
And there, just a day of slacking and light-bulb moment..they say the greenest you can get is to use what you have. i guess the older..the greener..the better. ahhh Al Gore will be so proud of me! ammana start at my mom's closet man!!! hmmm though the shoes are new purchases, i've cherry picked some of my mom's bags to go witha outfit (mafia-style:))
