a hispanic house transformed into a quaint café, calle arco's fascinating old-fashioned charm pleased every inch of my filipiniana soul. be it the gentle paddling of the ceiling fan, the mid afternoon sun politely peaking through the stained-glass windows or the intricate flower-adorned tableware, one way or another you will feel a certain connection to its informal and cozy setting.

we feasted on pla-pla fish, liempo, pansit canton, pakbet and rosemary chicken. i will be back for their garlic chicken and maybe sample their crepes, pastas and sandwiches! oooh and try aling taleng's halo halo too.
ahhh siesta.
