My lola's bilo-bilo.
Mamita's Champorado.
Nathaniel's Buko Pandan Salad.
Kabigting's Halo-Halo.
The leaning tower of Nathaniel's Puto Pao.
Between 3 to 4 PM, there is an automatic grumble in my stomach signaling it's time to munch something.
Forget chips, forget crackers. Here, we take merienda seriously. Lola makes bilo-bilo from scratch.
Nanay patiently stirs the cocoa from the Champorado. On Monday,
I satisfied the growling with Nathaniel's Roast Beef and Buko Pandan.
You cannot possibly go to Pampanga and not have their local snacks.
You end up taking home something. A gamut of yema in all forms and sizes.
Halo-halo in different surnames. Sugarfree is never an option.

Is bilo bilo like tambo tambo or paradosdos? My grandma used to make mochi balls for tambo tambo too! I love that dessert. I also love Halo Halo and Puto! YUMMMMM.
xx Love & Aloha
Hi Sharon! Yes, it's tambo tambo too:) You can always have shaved ice there if you miss halo-halo:)
