PURPLE PURPLE BANG BANG.

Ube Halaya. My mother's specialty.
Almost an urban legend. And of course waaaay freakin' better than the Mothers.
I especially love this year's batch because they perfected the jam consistency that I was
yearning for. They is an army of hands patiently mixing the ube for five to six hours.
I have seen different shades of ubes over the years. The ube, not-so ube and the just-right ube.
This is the uber-ube kind. The kind that will send you back to the Nineties, yep, because i'm still young.
The kind that will make you love your mom even more.
And the kind that will make you forget you still have to fit in to your old clothes.
Demmers.
